Drive the advancement of RAA's digital channels, delivering exceptional value to our members by overseeing digital development and supporting the realisation of RAA's strategic initiatives. Lead the development and maintenance of applications and systems for designated functional areas or business units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of developers, cultivating a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of digital applications, ensuring alignment with RAA’s strategic goals.
  • Champion the adoption of agile methodologies and modern DevOps practices to enhance development efficiency and reliability.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performing, and user-centric solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to software and digital architecture best practices to maintain security, stability, and performance.
  • Implement robust testing and quality assurance strategies to uphold product excellence.

About You:

You are a strategic and hands-on leader, driven by a passion for digital innovation and delivering high-quality solutions. Thriving in agile environments, you excel in collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance digital capabilities and create seamless user experiences. With a solid technical foundation and a people-first leadership approach, you inspire teams to embrace best practices and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a Software Development role or equivalent.
  • Proven track record in managing and leading teams in a similar capacity.
  • Experience in professional services, agile teams, and/or consumer-facing product environments is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in full stack software development, including JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React) and back-end technologies (NodeJS, Java, C#, Python).
  • Strong understanding of modern DevOps approaches and tooling.
  • Knowledgeable about software and digital architecture principles.
  • Familiarity with effective testing and quality assurance methodologies.
