Description:
- Oversee collections operations to ensure compliance with policies and legal requirements
- Implement credit strategies and standards to minimise bad debts and financial risks
- Prepare financial reports and statements for the Accounting & Finance department
- Resolve customer complaints and disputes in a professional and timely manner
- Train and mentor collections team to enhance performance
- Continually review and improve collections processes and systems
- Manage relationships with debtors and negotiate payment plans.
- Produce regular reports on credit control activities and collection outcomes.
- Comply with all industry regulations and maintain a high standard of professional ethics.
Requirements:
A successful Credit Manager should have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in finance, business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of credit policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to lead a team and foster a positive working environment.
- High level of integrity, responsibility, and accountability.
