FULLTIME $73,200 - $80,000
Join the team at Lune Bar and Eatery based out of Beulah Park, South Australia as a full-time Chef.
This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and passion for food in a growing hospitality business.
We require a highly motivated and skilled chef to join our team on a full -time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for creating delicious, high-quality meals.
You will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and production of our authentic Mediterranean dishes and management of the kitchen and kitchen team.
About the role :
The successful candidate will report to the Restaurant Manager and Head Chef and will be responsible for:
· Planning, directing and supervising food preparation and cooking to ensure consistently high - quality items are produced.
· Collaborating with the Head Chef to plan menus.
· Manage and train kitchen staff, preparing and cooking food.
· Undertaking stock control.
· Supervising and delegating work to kitchen staff and any trainees/apprentices
· Coordinating menus for functions and offsite catering.
· Controlling wastage and ensuring hygiene and cleanliness, at all times.
· Ensuring food and kitchen meet Occupational Health and Safety standards, at all times.
The Chef must be a team player and have formal qualifications OR a minimum of 12 months of demonstrated experience working as a chef.
Must have:
· a strong ability in menu development,
· planning and costing ability to lead and inspire
· highly developed communication and presentation skills
· ability to select kitchen staff as required
