As part of Joint Systems, EWIS contributes to the acquisition and support of systems for electronic warfare, command and control, satellites, and guided weapons.
About the Role:
We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer to support our Electromagnetic Warfare and Intelligence Systems (EWIS) branch working within our MMEW (Modernisation of Maritime Electromagnetic Warfare) project team. You will provide technical expertise to support Defence in the delivery of highly critical capability in support and executing Defence's mission to defend Australia and its national interests. In addition, you will assist in designing and implementing various complex technical solutions that will provide ADF personnel with leading Electromagnetic Warfare technology.
Note: This role/s are to be based in Adelaide or Canberra, though anyone that is willing to relocate is encouraged to apply
Some of the things you could be working on include:
- Conduct capability and concept development for radar systems.
- Perform requirements analysis and development to ensure project alignment.
- Oversee design and implementation processes to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Execute verification and validation (V&V) activities to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Support certification processes and provide ongoing technical support.
- Plan and deliver comprehensive engineering services while ensuring regulatory compliance .
- Provide engineering services related to radar technologies (HF or Microwave).
What we would like from you:
- 5+ years' experience working within Defence Systems & Software Engineering in a professional engineering organisation and/or government organisation.
- Degree qualified Engineering or related Engineering discipline with relevant post-graduate experience
- Extensive experience in working with and driving multi-functional teams.
- Experience in Verification and Validation
- Experience in Electromagnetic Warfare
