Our client, an Adelaide-based software company with a global reach, specialise in innovative AI-powered workforce management solutions, is seeking a skilled Compliance Analyst to join their team. With a strong presence in the local and US markets and expanding into the UK and Europe, this is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance across their product offerings.
About the role
As a Compliance Analyst, you will serve as the subject matter expert on workforce compliance, focusing on interpreting complex legal and regulatory requirements and translating them into actionable business rules. You will collaborate closely with legal experts, software engineers, and client solutions teams to ensure the software adheres to local and federal HR laws. This role is essential in maintaining compliance while optimising workforce rostering solutions.
What You'll Do
  • Legal and Regulatory Analysis:
    • Interpret workforce compliance laws and regulations, clarifying requirements with legal experts where necessary.
    • Translate legal and regulatory "legalese" into clear, actionable business rules for technical implementation.
  • Collaboration and Implementation:
    • Work with software engineers, application specialists, and client solutions teams to ensure compliance requirements are accurately integrated into the software.
    • Oversee the implementation of compliance strategies, consolidating input from legal advisers, clients, and internal teams.
  • Compliance Oversight:
    • Serve as a key advisor for internal compliance initiatives and provide expert guidance to QA and customer support teams on compliance-related issues.
    • Proactively identify and resolve compliance-related production issues.
  • Documentation and Communication:
    • Manage compliance-related documentation, including release notes and change management communications.
    • Communicate the technical and business implications of legal requirements to stakeholders.

Skills and experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a software product-based environment.
  • Proven ability to interpret compliance/legal requirements and translate them into technical tasks for engineers.
  • Hands-on experience with the Atlassian product suite (JIRA, Confluence).

While the preference is Adelaide based candidates the client will consider strong intereste candidates.
