We are seeking to establish a pool of Teacher - Mathematics for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

As a member of our team, you will ideally be a conscientious, flexible, and innovative teacher committed to the development of the whole student. You will ideally actively engage with both the school and the wider community, be highly reflective in your teaching practices, and employ evidence-based decision-making and differentiation.

Your role as a Mathematics teacher at SBSHS is not just about delivering content but about fostering a culture of curiosity and critical thinking. We are looking for applicants who will ideally self-reflect and assess the effectiveness of their teaching practice, promote an environment of active and positive learning, and provide educational opportunities and activities that enable students to achieve their highest potential. With excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, you will ideally work closely with students, teachers, and the community to achieve the best educational outcomes for students.

As a Mathematics teacher, you will ideally develop and implement differentiated programs that cater to various learning styles, individual needs, and academic levels. You should be dedicated to planning and delivering high-quality teaching programs that promote student engagement and achievement in Mathematics. Additionally, you will ideally facilitate problem-solving, logical reasoning, and mathematical fluency to enrich students' learning experiences and prepare them for assessments and future academic pursuits.

Experience in integrating technology into Mathematics teaching, applying innovative problem-solving approaches, and delivering engaging lessons that encourage students to develop a love for Mathematics is highly desirable.
