Description:
Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Analyst .This is a 12-month initial contract with 2 possible 12-month extensions , located at our client’s ACT office with a hybrid working arrangement (3 days in-office, 2 days from home, negotiable with the successful candidate).
As the selected candidate, you will:
- Identify cyber vulnerabilities within a large government environment.
- Produce strategic, operational, and tactical intelligence about cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Work closely with the cyber threat intelligence team to assess and mitigate risks.
- Analyse large, complex datasets to extrapolate vulnerability insights and conduct risk assessments.
- Collaborate with technical stakeholders and system owners to prioritise remediation efforts.
- Develop vulnerability assessment reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Contribute to minimising the organisation’s cyber-attack surface and strengthening defensive capabilities.
To be successful in this role you should have:
- Previous experience in cyber vulnerability management, preferably in a large organisation with a complex ICT environment.
- An analytical and inquisitive mindset, with the ability to assess technological vulnerabilities and their impact.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder engagement.
- Minimum active Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance.
It is desirable if you have:
- Experience working in or alongside cyber threat intelligence functions, including threat modelling and red team exercises.
- Previous federal or state government experience.
- Active Negative Vetting 2 (NV2) security clearance.
