WHAT'S INVOLVED?

The successful applicants will complete a season-long placement within our AFLW program, alongside a multi-disciplinary team of professionals based predominantly at the club’s headquarters in North Melbourne.

North will provide an inclusive environment aimed at accelerating learning and enhancing practical skills required for the industry. As part of the placement, students will gain experience across the areas of strength and conditioning, sport science and reconditioning yielding invaluable insights into professional training environments as well as exposure to all areas of a high-performance program.

Student placements will commence in May 2025.

Approximately 6 hours per week on Monday, Wednesday or Saturday. Contact hours will vary across the season, adaptable to individual needs and University requirements.


Skills And Experiences

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants should have completed a minimum of 2 years of an undergraduate Exercise/Sports Science/Human Movement degree (or equivalent) and must have an upcoming placement unit as part of their course to be considered for this placement opportunity. The successful candidate is required to undergo and pass a police check, and hold a current and valid Victorian Working with Children’s Check.

North is looking for reliable individuals with a willingness to learn, who possess the ability to thrive in a team environment, as well as take initiative and work independently when required. The successful applicants will be effective communicators who demonstrate a high level of professionalism and an exceptional work ethic. A passion for Australian Rules Football and previous exposure to team sport is desirable, but not essential.
