Your role within the team
In this role, you will lead marketing efforts for new product and innovation initiatives, identifying opportunities for short- and long-term innovation, overseeing project execution, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will drive the creation of new products, define launch requirements, and establish effective ways of working. You will also guide and develop the marketing innovation team, promoting collaboration and growth while working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver groundbreaking innovations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implement the innovation strategy aligned with organisational goals,

  • Lead a team of innovators to successful delivery of short- and long-term strategic projects, while mentoring and inspiring team members to drive innovation success,

  • Lead cross functional collaboration with sales and category teams to deliver NSR targets through innovation delivery,

  • Lead innovation projects from concept to execution, ensuring timely, budget-conscious delivery,

  • Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging stakeholder contributions,

  • Conduct market research and run design sprints to identify and develop new opportunities,

  • Oversee prototype development, testing, and iteration,

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring innovations to market,

  • Manage resources, budgets, and timelines using data-driven decisions,

  • Lead strategic retailer engagement and external innovation partnerships,

  • Lead and optimise internal stage-and-gate innovation forums,

  • Leads brand health tracking quarterly dips and research projects,

  • Collaborate with science teams to adopt business capability in new and emerging ingredient modules.

To make sure we’re setting new starters up for success, we ask that you meet a few criteria relevant to the role to be considered for this opportunity:

  • 5+ years of experience in innovation management, demonstrating values-based leadership, mentoring teams, and successfully driving strategic innovation projects and product launches,

  • Expertise in product development, consumer claims, range architecture, branding, and legal/regulatory compliance,

  • Experience in brand health tracking, consumer research, campaign evaluation, and implementation,

  • Skilled in negotiation and executive stakeholder management to gain buy-in for new projects,

  • Proven project management skills to drive multiple initiatives and cross-functional teams,

  • Excellent problem-solving skills to navigate challenges in the innovation process,

  • Exceptional communication skills for presenting ideas and building stakeholder consensus,

  • Proficient in data analysis and data-driven decision-making, with a creative and adaptable mindset to drive strategic innovation in changing market conditions.
