The Role:


bestchance Child Family Care is currently seeking an exceptional individual with a positive and proactive approach to join our organisation as a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor. Reporting to the General Manager Governance and Safety, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and wellbeing are maintained across our organisation. By providing expert guidance and operational support, implementing effective policies, procedures, and comprehensive training, you will contribute to creating a safe and nurturing environment for staff, and volunteers.


About you:


To be successful you will need:



  • Knowledge of operational health, safety, and wellbeing legislation, regulations, and best practices.
  • Ability to develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and training programs effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify operational risks, conduct investigations, and provide practical solutions.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting the wellbeing.


In addition to the above you will need the following to be considered for this role:



  • Certificate in a relevant discipline or experience in a similar role.
  • Proven success in building and managing relationships with employees, employers and external stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of Workcover systems and process in Victoria.
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative and a positive outlook and solutions focused approach.
  • Hold a valid driver licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Hold a valid Employee Working with Children Check.
