Your Position

This position is located at a state-of-the-art, fully automated warehouse and meat processing facility (non-slaughter) of one of our key clients. You will be responsible for servicing and maintaining live equipment in a clean, food-grade environment, strictly adhering to our health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and efficient workplace.

This is a shift-based role, requiring you to work a 12-hour rotating roster of 4 days on, 4 days off. Shifts will include days, nights, weekends, and public holidays, as per your schedule.

As part of a highly motivated service team, your day-to-day focus will include:

  • Performing preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.

  • Diagnosing and resolving issues with automated systems to minimize downtime.

  • Utilizing data analytics to enhance system performance and efficiency.

  • Expanding your technical skills in automation through hands-on experience.

  • Providing technical support to our customer, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively.

About You

  • Trade qualification or Diploma, with 3-5 years of relevant experience as a Service Technician.

  • A valid electrical license.

  • Strong mechanical skills and aptitude.

  • Knowledge of controls (PLC/industrial PCs), electrical/mechanical systems, software, and networks.

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Experience in logistics, postal sorting, baggage automated systems, or food handling facilities.

  • Permanent residency or Australian citizenship, residing in Melbourne, Australia.

  • Eagerness to enhance your skills and continue learning.

  • Honesty, reliability, and a proactive work approach.

  • Comfort working in a meat processing environment.

  • Willingness to work in a low-temperature (0°C) setting (PPE provided).
