Description:

Allied Health Outpatient Department are looking for an Administration Officer to join their team. The QEII Jubilee Hospital is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services and a 24-hour emergency department. The purpose of this position is to provide a timely, accurate and high standard of administrative support to the Senior Administration Officer, Allied Health Clinicians, other staff, patients and visitors within the Allied Health Services, Physiotherapy, Occupational and Speech Therapy, Dietetics, Social Work, Pharmacy and Psychology.

About the Role

  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Provide excellent customer service, and communicate clearly and confidently with patients, members of the public and departmental staff over the phone, via email and in person and assist staff and clients in the work unit as requested.
  • Organise and coordinate patient appointment activities, including the arrival of patients, booking appointments, management of cancellation/rescheduling of clinics, management of clinic waiting lists and coordinating appointments with other services, ensuring transportation and follow up appointments are arranged.
  • Manage workload appropriately by prioritising tasks and ensuring work is completed within designated timeframes.
