Description:

BreastScreen Queensland Southside are looking for several Senior Medical Officers to join their team. This role provides breast physician clinical care to BreastScreen Queensland patients attending BreastScreen Brisbane Southside service and assumes overall responsibility for patient care. Provides clinical and administrative duties to assist the Director.

About the Role

  • Participates in multidisciplinary BreastScreen Brisbane Southside clinics and
  • Where applicable, provides Screen Reading Services to the BreastScreen Queensland Statewide Reading Model
  • Supervision and teaching of doctors and medical students, and teaching for other members of the multidisciplinary team
  • Participation and / or leadership of research and quality improvement activities

Your key responsibilities

  • This role reports to Medical Director, BreastScreen Brisbane Southside Service.
  • This position fulfils accountabilities and responsibilities in accordance with Metro South's purpose and objectives.
  • Foster a culture of interprofessional collaboration and leadership through understanding the role and the roles of others in the interprofessional team leveraging this knowledge to establish and meet client goals and inform service direction.
