As the Quality Assurance Specialist, you’ll assist the Head of Short Tail Claims with the day-to-day operations of the claims team, ensuring best practice claims management and delivering exceptional customer service. The role will have the following accountabilities:

  • Complete monthly quality assurance and quality listening audits
  • Assist the Head of Short Tail Claims with oversight and authorisation of claim payments in line with delegated authorities.
  • Work with the Learning and Development team and Technical Claims Specialist, using insights from quality audits and listening, to create, coordinate and facilitate required training for staff for technical, system and product issues.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory regimes, including completion of all mandatory compliance training within defined timelines.
  • Undertake all work to the standard required, adhering to key policies, procedures and role authorities.
  • Follow the 'no surprises' rule by promptly informing the Leader and/or relevant Managers of any mistakes, issues, or missed deadlines, and assist with corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders and provide feedback to the Supplier Development Manager on panel performance.

About you:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the general Insurance Industry; you may already be in QA role or you’re technically astute and importantly know what good looks like!
  • Good knowledge of claims guidelines within broad range of general Insurance claims, specifically Property and Motor claims experience is critical.
  • A high level of discretion, integrity, and adaptability
  • Positive energy, initiative, and the ability to work well under pressure

What we offer?

  • Remuneration package + annual short- term incentive
  • Hybrid working arrangement (2 days in office, 3 days from home)
  • Paid parental leave for eligible staff and an extra day of paid leave in addition to annual leave entitlements
  • Enhanced long-service leave
  • Staff discounts and offers with leading retailers and an innovative Employee Assistance Programme
  • Wellbeing initiatives, learning opportunities and purpose led businesses.
