About the Opportunity
The DevOps Engineer within the Digital Solutions team will undertake the maintenance of our cloud solutions and accounts, help the delivery teams manage the releases and ensure the effective hosting approach. This role will include solution design, development, monitoring and support, tuning and deployment of services across multiple delivery projects, while also maintaining the technical documentation required for those applications.
- Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture Management: Design, implement, and maintain scalable, resilient, and cost-effective AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance while optimizing services for compliance and evolving needs. Collaborate with architecture teams to plan and execute upgrades, migrations, and integrations to support growth..
- Automation & CI/CD Pipelines: Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible), and streamline release management for secure, reliable, and efficient deployments.
- Observability & Support Operations: Lead observability strategy with monitoring, alerting, and logging. Provide production support, resolving critical incidents. Maintain clear documentation to enhance knowledge sharing and reduce risks.
- Teamwork & Stakeholder Engagement: Mentor team members, foster continuous improvement, and enhance technical skills through training. Collaborate cross-functionally to promote best practices and ensure successful project delivery.
About You:
You have over 5 years of experience in DevOps Engineering or a similar role, with strong expertise in infrastructure as code and automation tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform. You are well-versed in implementing DevOps best practices, multi-tiered architectures, and cloud technologies, particularly within AWS.
With a deep understanding of networking, API management, and web services, you are skilled in scripting languages like PowerShell, bash, and Python. You are experienced in using build and deployment tools like Azure DevOps, Bamboo, and Jenkins, as well as observability tools like Datadog, New Relic, and Splunk. Your knowledge extends to source control, agile methodologies, and stateless, distributed applications.
You work collaboratively to prevent fraud and mitigate risks, comply with privacy and data security policies, and foster a culture of integrity and ethical behaviour.
