The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Nurse Manager (Inter Hospital Transfer Coordinator) to join Gold Coast Health where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Ensure timely referral acceptance and patient transfers to the most appropriate facilities.
- Assess and address capacity challenges while leading unplanned care outsourcing initiatives.
- Coordinate direct transfers to optimise resource sharing across Gold Coast Health.
- Serve as a key contact for Gold Coast Health, ensuring ongoing compliance and education.
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

- Base salary ranging from $66.86 - $72.59 per hour

Clinical Management is a dynamic team responding efficiently to barriers to discharge, access, and demand capacity escalations. The team consists of Clinical Nurse Consultants, Nurse Managers and Administration Officer. This role works closely with the Patient Access and Flow Team and is based in the Coordination Hub of Gold Coast University Hospital.
