A premium Australian fashion brand known for its high-quality design and premium materials. The business is about to enter a major brand transformation and they need a Head of Ecommerce to join the team and build a comprehensive Ecommerce strategy.
Reporting directly into the CEO, The Head of Ecommerce is responsible for accelerating growth across all ecommerce channels, overseeing the day-to-day operation of all websites and marketplaces globally, and managing a team. This role will work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business including marketing, buying & planning, finance, logistics and retail ops teams. You will have both strategic and leadership responsibilities within this role.
Responsibilities
- Manage the online operating expenditure in line with approved budgets to ensure a profitable, sustainable outcome.
- Plan and implement the digital projects roadmap in collaboration with the COO and CEO as well as external partners.
- Contribute to revenue planning including annual/monthly/weekly sales budgets, reforecasts and
- strategic revenue growth plans.
- Manage and motivate eCommerce team to maintain best-in-class eCommerce websites and marketplaces that to stay to the brand and vision.
- Manage key Ecommerce software vendors and service providers.
- Competitor benchmark to identify new software and technology to continue to improve the customer experience online and increase conversion and revenue.
- Lead initiatives to improve the customer experience including site speed and performance, site navigation, and clear paths to purchase.
- Report on and analyse weekly and monthly online trade performance.
- Identify individual strengths and enable team members to optimize their contribution to the team.
- Align cross functional teams on strategic plans and work
- collaboratively with buying, marketing and design.
About You
You'll be someone who has deep experience working with multiple brands and you hold compelling knowledge of the Australian fashion market. You will be someone who wants go on a journey with a brand and grow in seniority as the brand grows. You'll be a "doer" and comfortable working in a smaller business where you're happy to step outside of your job description to help another team member, if needed.
- Demonstrate robust operational and functional expertise in Ecommerce technologies and platforms.
- You have experience working with multiple fashion brands, also working brand side, and driving Ecommerce in localised markets.
- You're passionate about fashion and sustainability.
- Possess a comprehensive knowledge of the digital landscape, including web applications, site merchandising, SEO, and relevant reporting.
- Experience working with an ERP and integrations to a web platform, AP21 and Shopify preferred but not essential.
- Experience in managing and inspiring teams.
- In-depth experience with Google Analytics and strong analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from data.
- Proven experience in driving and leading technical teams and liaising with development agencies
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
