Mechanic

Description:

Due to exponential business and customer growth, we are looking to recruit a Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our Team in Brookvale. You will encompass all facets of delivering the best quality mechanical productivity, in order to contribute to our Team's ongoing success.

In this busy and varied role your primary duties include, but will not be limited to:

1. Inspection of vehicles and running diagnostic tests to identify mechanical problems;
2. Troubleshooting of reported problems and resolution within a timely manner;
3. Ongoing liaison with the Store Manager, Sales Team and/or Customers regarding work being carried out;
4. Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional vehicle parts and rectify identified issues;
5. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on customer vehicles;
6. Ensure that all repairs and maintenance work undertaken is carried out with the highest quality standards, in an efficient manner.

The Successful candidate will have:

1. Mechanical Trade Qualification and minimum 3 years post-trade experience;
2. Demonstrated diagnostic skillset;
3. Rego ticket (or willing to undertake training) and a valid, unrestricted drivers licence;
4. The highest level of integrity to align with our Company values and customer service excellence principles;
5. A team player attitude, and the ability to be highly motivated to work effectively within a dynamic team environment;
6. A high level of attention to detail;
7. Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components;
8. Aptitude in using various hand tools and precision measurement tools;
9. Physically able to undertake the inherent job requirements;
10. The ability to work some Saturdays (half day).
