About the Role
We are looking for a Community Worke r to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will provide direct support to women and children impacted by domestic and family abuse, facilitating access to critical services, advocating for their needs, and promoting a pathway to safety, stability, and empowerment.
Key Responsibilities
● Provide trauma-informed support and guidance to individuals and families experiencing domestic and family abuse.
● Conduct risk assessments and safety planning to ensure client safety and well-being.
● Develop and implement individualized support plans to address clients’ unique needs.
● Facilitate referrals and collaborate with external agencies, including housing, legal, and counseling services.
● Maintain accurate and confidential case records and documentation.
● Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure access to necessary resources and services.
● Educate the community on domestic violence awareness and prevention strategies.

● Experience in social work, community services, domestic abuse support, or a related field.
● Strong interpersonal, communication, and advocacy skills.
● Ability to build trust and rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
● Knowledge of local domestic violence resources, services, and referral pathways.
● A compassionate, patient, and solution-focused approach to client care.
● Commitment to principles of confidentiality, respect, and empowerment.
