Description:
We’re seeking an experienced Conveyor Belt Splicer / Technician with a strong background in lightweight belt systems (PVC, PU, Transilon, etc.). This hands-on role involves the fabrication, installation, and repair of conveyor belts across a range of industries, including packaging, food production, and logistics.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform finger splice, lap splice, Z-splice , and joins on lightweight belts
- Use measuring equipment and hand tools to cut, weld, and join belts
- Conduct belt tracking, tensioning, slackening, and alignment
- Operate machinery such as high-frequency welders, slitters, and grinders
- Perform belt application selection based on client requirements
- Complete job site documentation including material use and labor reports
You must have:
- Proven experience with lightweight belts (NOT heavy-duty rubber belts used in mining)
- Competence in working with PU/PVC belts, fasteners, and belt accessories
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Prolink modular belts or Timing Belt systems

Qualifications :
Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting & Machining)
Certificate III in Polymer Processing or Plastics Fabrication – Relevant for PU/PVC belt work.
Conveyor Belt Splicing Certification From manufacturers like Forbo, Habasit, Ammeraal Beltech, or in-house employer training.

Overlap Splice
Mechanical Fastening Systems (e.g. HS/CS, Flexco, etc.)
High-Frequency Welding Training Often manufacturer provided or learned on the job.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
