Your opportunity
As an Electrical Fitter Mechanic located in Rockhampton , you’ll perform customer connections, meter installations & upgrades, as well as shock investigations for both residential and commercial customers.
Here’s how you’ll do it:
- Carry out maintenance (preventative, planned, unplanned), and repairs to our distribution network to ensure its ongoing reliability.
- Construct and augment our distribution network to meet the changing needs of our residential and commercial customers and other stakeholders.
- Install, repair, commission and maintain various items of electrical equipment and plant that make up our vast distribution network.

The remuneration for your new role is from $113,758 + 14.75% superannuation + applicable allowances

What you will bring
Critical to your success in the role, is your:
- Trade qualification with a Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic licence.
- Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution/transmission system, including construction and maintenance of the electrical network.
- Working knowledge of Electricity Act & Regulations, Workplace Health & Safety Act and Regulations, and other relevant statutory acts & regulations.
- Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
- Australian or New Zealand citizenship or an Australian permanent residency
We’d also love you to have
- Well-developed interpersonal communication skills to develop good working relationships with team members and external customers. You must have the ability to identify and understand customer needs
- Availability for call out and emergency work
- Willingness to travel to surrounding area from time to time to undertake work
