About the Role:
In 2025, the Student Support Services psychology team is dedicated to fostering a culture of courage, connection, and collaboration. Our focus is on creating meaningful and impactful outcomes for children through relational practice, shared responsibility, and culturally responsive practice. This role is primarily assessment-based, supporting schools and preschools to understand the specific strengths and needs of children and young people to help them flourish at school. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team, offering professional development to schools, psychoeducation to families and carers, and running small group interventions when needed. By embracing challenges, prioritising quality over quantity, and tailoring our approaches to meet local needs, we aim to make a significant difference in the lives of children and their families.

This includes triaging and filtering cases, administering academic assessments, gathering essential background information from families, and managing nominations and allocations of external providers at the local level. Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in psychology
- Registration/eligibility to register with the Psychology Board of Australia

Special Conditions:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:
AHP2: $88,255 - $102,240 per annum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading.
