About the Role
The primary role of a TAFE SA Hourly Paid Instructor (HPI) is to provide a quality educational service of training, assessment, and guidance to students in accordance with relevant training package objectives. HPI’s may also be involved in the provision of consultancy services to industry/community clients.

We are seeking a dynamic Automotive Lecturer to join our team on a casual hourly-paid basis. This role focuses on delivering high-quality training and assessment within the Automotive program, with a particular emphasis on Outdoor Power Equipment, small engines, mowers, chain saws and trimmers. The successful candidate will leverage their industry expertise to support students through flexible delivery methodologies.

Minimum entry requirements:

• Minimum Certificate III in a relevant industry trade qualification (or equivalent).
• Current trade technical skills and knowledge in automotive area.
• Must hold an RTO approved Training and Assessment qualification of TAE40116 or later.
• Awareness of the challenges faced in adult education, including psychosocial safety.

Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed. Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).

• Out of hours work may be required and a flexible approach to the hours of duty is essential.
• Some Intrastate and interstate travel may be required.
• May be required to relocate to other campuses within TAFE SA.
• A flexible approach to the taking of leave is essential.
• Eligible to work in Australia.
