An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse to lead and deliver person centred nursing care at an advanced level based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Registered Nurse Standards for Practice within the Paediatric Inpatient Unit at Gympie Hospital. The Paediatric Unit in Gympie is a 5 physical bed unit. Gympie Hospital is a Level 3 Service Capability Facility. The unit accommodates at times female surgical and female medical outliers. Our referral centres are Sunshine Coast University Hospital and Queensland Children’s Hospital.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Understand your broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.
- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.

- Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
Remuneration value up to $111 073 p.a., comprising salary rates $54.44 - $58.30 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1)) (Permanent Part-Time position, 64 hrs p.f.).
