About the role

Are you a passionate and experienced pharmacy professional looking to take the next step in your career? This is an exciting opportunity to lead the organisation, management and daily operations of a designated pharmacy area, where you’ll provide a comprehensive and high-level range of pharmacy services. You’ll use your expert clinical judgement to deliver medicines information and therapeutic advice to patients, as well as collaborate with medical, nursing and allied health staff, all in line with hospital policies, procedures, and professional standards.

In this role, you'll play a vital part in optimising patient outcomes by developing and implementing strategies to ensure the safe, effective and cost-efficient use of pharmaceuticals. Your leadership will help support best practice in pharmacy services, contributing to the delivery of high-quality care across the hospital setting. About You

You are an experienced and motivated pharmacy professional with a strong clinical background and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. Your excellent communication skills, leadership experience and attention to detail equip you to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

  • Experienced and technically competent – Extensive hospital pharmacy experience, with strong knowledge of pharmacy practice standards, codes of practice, and clinical service delivery.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration – Proven ability to lead, supervise, and support both professional and non-professional staff while working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills – Able to communicate clearly with a wide range of people, manage competing priorities, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • Analytical and solutions-focused – Skilled in research, data interpretation, and problem-solving, with the ability to drive improvements and implement service-enhancing strategies.
