About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Food Services team as a Casual Kitchen Hand, where you will be responsible for:
- The Kitchen Hand is responsible to the Kitchen Team Leaders for the day-to-day operations of the kitchen including salad and sandwich production, central plating, dishwashing and maintenance of a clean and hygienic environment.
- All duties need to be performed in compliance with the department's Food Safety Plan.
- Staff will be rostered over a seven-day roster working either a morning or afternoon shift on an on-call basis.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Relevant experience in a large food service environment or training with a recognised provider.
- Good knowledge of food products and food production systems and processes.
- Positive attitude to work and the ability to work as part of an effective team.
- Good organisational skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels and work collaboratively with the management team.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene principles and Work, Health & Safety principles.
