About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Michael Rice Centre for Haematology Oncology team as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager. This role involves dealing appropriately and relevantly with children and their families where there are multiple complexities, and assisting the Nursing Services Director in undertaking unit management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering person-centred clinical nursing care within a dedicated team, ensuring that each client's unique needs and preferences are prioritised to achieve optimal health outcomes.
- Collaborating closely with the Nursing Service Director to support management, clinical, and educational initiatives, thereby enhancing the overall quality and efficiency of nursing services.
- Engaging in clinical teaching by supervising learning experiences and setting goals for students and less experienced staff, fostering a culture of continuous professional development and excellence in patient care.
- Applying advanced theoretical knowledge and evidence-based practices, combined with personal experience, to develop and implement individualised care plans that meet agreed-upon client outcomes.
