Chisholm is seeking an experienced Library and Learning Services Officer to join our Library department. Part time, 0.6 fte Ongoing position on offer.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Library and Learning Services Officer, your key responsibilities include:
- Seek out and greet customers to actively identify how to support students current need(s) immediately and locally rather than directing/referring customers elsewhere
- Respond to and actively problem-solve general customer enquiries about a diverse range of Chisholm services including student support and engagement, enrolment procedures, classroom locations, basic course information, and library information
- Respond to customer enquiries as a first point of contact across numerous service channels including face to face, email, phone and online
- Conduct basic library orientation for students to impart knowledge and familiarity with the modern learning services environment
- Provision of basic technical support by responding to users’ routine computer requests that are submitted by phone, helpdesk or in person
- Carry out routine collection management tasks to ensure that materials are up-to-date and in good condition
- Maintain and monitor stationery requirements and order supplies
ABOUT YOU
You are a highly motivated individual with with- Demonstrable current experience and knowledge of Library procedures and practices
Current experience in providing customer service support in a complex and demanding educational environment - Demonstrated experience in assisting others by troubleshooting and applying proactive problem solving skills
- Highly developed oral communication skills, as well as highly developed interpersonal and customer relation skills
- Competent skill and familiarity teaching tools and software used in TAFE and Higher Education Sectors (e.g. Moodle, Alfresco, Timetabling and Course Information Registers)
Qualifications required for the role: - A relevant qualification at a minimum of Diploma level or a combination of lesser qualification and significant library experience
