Description:
MITEZ is seeking a dynamic and finance-oriented Member Engagement/Finance Officer to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful economic development while supporting our diverse member base across North West Queensland.
The Mount Isa to Townsville Economic Development Zone (MITEZ) stretches 920kms from Townsville to Mount Isa and covers around 16% of Queensland’s land area. As one of Australia’s key infrastructure corridors, MITEZ connects Queensland to national and international markets, supporting trade, export, and industry.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will:
- Be the primary point of contact for new and renewing members
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, and member databases
- Participate in strategic discussions with the CEO to shape member priorities and outcomes
- Support a variety of administrative and engagement tasks that drive regional collaboration

Essential Requirements
- Passion for developing the North West
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
- Experience with Xero accounting software
- Current Class C driver’s licence
- Willingness to travel across the 7 LGAs between Mount Isa and Townsville
