Description:

We are seeking experienced professionals to fill multiple positions supporting a Defence program in Melbourne.

These roles will require strong collaboration, compliance, procurement, and project management skills to ensure the successful delivery with a tight time period.

These are 6-12 month contract positions , with start dates in April and May.

Role 1: Trade Compliance (TC) Specialist

  • Facilitate export licenses and ensure compliance with export control requirements.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and subcontractors to ensure the safe transfer and storage of export-controlled data.
  • Assist with contractual requirements such as MLA, End User Assurances, and Statements, and manage Export License applications.

Role 2: Procurement Specialist (multiple positions)

  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes and contracting activities across various suppliers and subcontracts.
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders and draft, evaluate, and negotiate subcontracts.
  • Lead RFx evaluation activities to ensure best value for money and mitigate risk exposure.
  • Ensure supplier activities comply with regulatory trade control requirements.

Role 3: Project/Subcontract Manager (multiple positions)

  • Support the engagement and management of subcontractors to deliver subsystems for large Defence program
  • Assist with proposal documentation, evaluation, and contract negotiations.
  • Lead contract execution during initial phases, including project kick-off and risk management.
  • Contribute to reporting and management of multiple sub-projects concurrently.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Trade Compliance (TC) Specialist : Tertiary qualifications in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or similar; experience in the Defence sector; minimum baseline security clearance.
  • Procurement Specialist : Tertiary qualifications in commercial, project management, or relevant field; experience in procurement and contracting; ability to work autonomously.
  • Project/Subcontract Manager : Tertiary qualifications in commerce, project management, or relevant field; 10+ years' experience in project/contract management; ability to manage multiple sub-projects.

Security Clearance : Baseline minimum required for all roles.
