Description
Key Responsibilities:- Functional Review: Undertake a review of the Discretionary Appeals program, including applications assessment processes, risk thresholds, and delegate decision-making.
- Develop Procedural Instructions (PI): Create contemporary PIs and supporting materials (e.g., risk assessment methodology) aligned with the Department's Policy and Procedural Control Framework (PPCF).
- Regulatory Support: Provide a risk assessment model supporting regulatory decisions under Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005 (ATS) and Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Regulations 2003 (MTOFS) for ASIC and MSIC approvals.
- Qualifications/Experience in risk management.
- Strong understanding of Aviation and Maritime Transport Security Act and relevant regulations.
- Experience writing procedural instructions in line with Department of Home Affairs PPCF.
- Knowledge of security threats related to unlawful interference and organized crime in the transport sector.
