Role Details
Part-time position responsible for supporting the SASI Performance Support team to deliver world class technical expertise in sports physiology services to South Australian Sports Institute (SASI) coaches, athletes and program partners. This role will deliver specialist physiology support to the National Cycling Program (Endurance and Para Cycling) in Adelaide, with leadership from the AusCycling Endurance Training Scientist. The Sports Physiologist reports to SASI Performance Support Manager and is responsible for collaborating with AusCycling Endurance and Para-cycling coaches and Endurance Training Scientist to establish physiology priorities. This will include implementing and interpreting field and laboratory testing, applying specialist skills to improve elite athlete development, and effective communication and dissemination of information to optimise performance outcomes, in accordance with the aims and objectives of SASI.
Special Conditions
- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the Agency's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
- Some interstate travel involving overnight absences will be required.
- This role requires a working with children check.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise, Sports or Movement Science or a related degree.
- ESSA Accredited Sport Scientist (ASpS) (minimum Level 1).
Salary Range
$68,478 - $83,594 p.a. (pro rata for part-time 0.5 FTE)
