The role

Loreto Toorak is on the lookout for dynamic and talented Sports Coaches to join our team on a casual basis (approximately 6 to 8 hours per week). If you are experienced in AFL, Strength and Conditioning, or Athletics (Sprints, Jumps, Hurdles, or Throws), we want to hear from you!

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective sports coaching sessions
  • Develop and implement training programs tailored to the needs of individual students and teams
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages student participation and enjoyment
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students during coaching sessions
  • Collaborate with other staff members to organise and participate in school sports events and competitions
  • Flexibility to work early mornings and/or afternoons after 3pm during the week and on Saturdays as required

About You

The ideal candidate will bring coaching experience, a passion for sports and a genuine commitment to supporting and inspiring young people. Experience in AFL, strength and conditioning, or Athletics (Sprints, Jumps, Hurdles, or Throws) is essential. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others. Importantly you will bring positivity and a can-do attitude to every shift.

A coaching qualification will be highly regarded. Current CPR and a Level 2 First Aid certification along with a valid working with children check (employee) is essential.
