The Youth Justice (YJ) Learning & Capability team is currently seeking a suitable candidate for the role of Learning and Capability Consultant - Leadership Development (VPS 5).

About the Role

As a Learning and Capability Consultant, you will play a vital role in developing training programs, as well as strengthening leadership capability across Youth Justice. You will:

  • Designing, developing, and update training programs for YJ staff and managers
  • Delivering leadership development programs, including coaching and mentoring training
  • Collaborate with the Operational Leadership and Capability team to enhance existing training programs, workplace coaching and outcomes
  • Through training, support change management and leadership development within Youth Justice.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking an experienced learning and development professional with:

  • Expertise in leadership development, coaching, and mentoring
  • A strong background in instructional design and adult learning principles
  • Experience in justice environments (preferrably Youth Justice)
  • Experience delivering leadership training, particularly in complex or high-pressure environments
  • The ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across multiple locations.

Key Details

  • Full-time, fixed-term role starting as soon as possible
  • Work locations: Cherry Creek, Parkville, and Melbourne CBD (flexibility to deliver training across locations is essential
  • Reporting to the Manager, Design - Learning & Capability team
  • VPS5 classification
  • Position available until June 2026.
