We're looking for health professionals to join us as we open a new, state-of-the-art Mental Health Rehabilitation Service (MHRS) at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH).

About the Role
As an AHP2 Occupational Therapist within the CALHN IMHRU, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based assessments, consultations, and interventions to support consumers in their recovery journey. You will collaborate closely with inpatient, community, and rehabilitation services to enhance consumer outcomes, focusing on independence, skill development, and community integration. Your role will involve delivering individual and group interventions, discharge planning, and coordinating clinical care. You will contribute to improving clinical outcomes through ongoing professional development, quality improvement, and participation in planning activities, while supporting consumers and their families to overcome barriers and achieve their rehabilitation goals.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A degree in Occupational Therapy that is recognised by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, with a demonstrated ability to perform evidence-based assessments and interventions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, enabling you to work effectively with consumers, carers, and a multidisciplinary team, while maintaining accurate, timely clinical records.
- Experience in mental health and occupational therapy, with a solid understanding of complex consumer needs, therapeutic relationship development, and evidence-based practice.
- A commitment to ongoing professional growth and the ability to provide supervision and support to students, allied health assistants, and less experienced staff members.
