Are you experienced teaching across various the following health related courses:

  • Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance;
  • Certificate III in Health Services Assistance; and/or
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care and Disability)

Key areas of responsibility include, but not limited to:

  • Prepare, deliver and assess vocational education and training programs, applying a variety of teaching methods (including flexible delivery, on-the-job training and assessment), which reflect best practice teaching methodology.
  • Research, adapt and develop innovative learning practices and delivery options that enhance the Program area’s capacity to meet the learning needs of students.
  • Provide inclusive learning programs for students from diverse cultures, backgrounds and abilities; and implement appropriate support and/or modified learning programs and strategies as required.
  • Contribute and participate as a member of the teaching area on a range of operational duties including course advice, student selection, enrolments, promotional activities, graduation and administrative duties.
  • Provide valuable input into The Gordon’s Centre of Excellence with designing and developing valuable initiatives across Disability and Inclusion learning.

About You:

Are you experienced in engaging with a diverse student cohort, including English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners and VET in Schools (VETiS) students (Years 10, 11 & 12)? Do you like to collaborate with the wider faculty whilst also working autonomously to deliver great student outcomes? Are you ready to share your knowledge with the next generation? If so, we want to hear from you!

Some key knowledge and qualifications required include:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/TAE40122) or equivalent .
  • Industry qualifications to enable you to teach across Certificates III in Allied Health Assistance, Health Services Assistance and/or Individual Support (Aged Care and Disability)
  • Demonstrated working knowledge and application of the Victorian Child Safe Standards and National Child Safe Principles.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children, including children with a disability and from culturally and/or linguistically diverse background.
  • A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check.
