The Opportunity
As Our Principal HR Consultant, You Will
- Lead and deliver strategic workforce and culture projects and initiatives aligned to the DPI Strategic Workforce Plan such as workforce planning, succession planning, positive performance management, and reward and recognition.
- Lead the DPI workforce planning working group to positively drive workforce planning initiatives and practices across the department.
- Partner with business groups in developing, implementing and reporting on initiatives linked to the DPI Strategic Workforce Plan and local workforce and succession plans.
- Participate in and develop, present, and facilitate briefings and workshops to management and teams as required.
- Identify strategic HR issues and develop strategies that align with organisational needs and comply with relevant HR legislative and departmental policy requirements.
- Build and maintain productive internal and external stakeholder relationships to develop and implement people and culture initiatives to achieve strategic workforce outcomes.
- Develop and deliver effective communication and engagement strategies to enable the successful implementation and adoption of change within business areas in partnership with the DPI Communications and Engagement team.
- Effectively plan, monitor, track and report on project progress to ensure key milestones and deliverables are met within agreed timeframes, including project schedules, scope and key performance indicators
- Analyse and interpret relevant HR data to support business initiatives and employee management including establishment management.
- Represent the department on whole of government working groups and positively contribute to developing and fostering relationships across the sector.
