About Nightcliff Campus
Nightcliff Campus, managed by Child Australia in partnership with Nightcliff Primary School, offers a nurturing environment for children’s education and care. Operating from 7am to 6pm on weekdays, the campus includes an Early Learning Centre (ELC) and Outside School Hours Care (OSHC). The programs emphasise learning through play, intentional teaching strategies, and opportunities for children to connect with nature and develop problem-solving skills. The campus prioritises children within the Nightcliff school zone and supports smooth transitions from ELC to primary school, fostering strong attachments and a sense of belonging.

About the Role
We are searching for an experienced and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to work closely with our Educators at our Nightcliff Centre to provide quality care to young children in a stimulating, play-based environment.
This is a Permanent Full-Time role working 75 hours per fortnight (Monday to Friday) with the option available to work a condensed fortnight (work 9 longer days, get the 10th day off).
What You’ll Do
Responsibilities include, however are not limited to:
- Develop and implement programs that align with the curriculum and meet the needs of individual children.
- Create a safe and welcoming environment for children to learn and play.
- Observe and assess children’s development and progress, and communicate with parents and caregivers as needed.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive team environment.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and attendance.
- Attend professional development opportunities to stay up to date on best practices in early childhood education.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Please visit ACECQA NQF approved qualifications list if you hold an overseas qualification.
- At least 2 years of experience working with young children in a classroom setting.
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, child development and age-appropriate teaching methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other Educators.
- Current Working with Children Check.
