This role reports into the Expense Services & Processes, CCS Finance team and is a Finance job family role with particular focus on the needs of the Consumer Division. Working with a group of professionals, this role is accountable for delivering strong expense management, capability uplift and financial control through the adherence to policies, processes, and standards; provide financial insights and advice to help our business leaders achieve target outcomes; and build and maintain strong relationships with our stakeholders.
The Expense Services & Processes team performs activities including reporting, forecasting, analytics, investment management, cost allocations, spend management and expense transformation delivery. In addition, the team partners into finance and the business to deliver against non-standard, forward-looking and commercially material business priorities.
You will support the Consumer Division Finance and your team to uplift capability for expense management through enhancement of services and processes across the financial management cycle and partner with key stakeholders to empower the group to deliver on its ongoing cost accountabilities.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner with Consumer Division Finance teams in the context of end to end Expense Management
- Provide decision support leveraging your offshore team members and service and process peers in the Expense Services and Processes team.
- With Group Finance, formalise finance guardrails around finance activities and embed with Finance and the Business
- Ensure corporate reporting and financial reporting risk is well-managed including any required financial control uplift to strengthen our Financial Control Framework, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and supporting Value Chain framework and deliver high quality and effective services and efficient processes
- Establish and embed the service catalogue and service level agreements for standard activities
- Establish an effective operating rhythm (time, quality, value) to deliver to strategic or ad hoc activities
- Lead the stopping, standardisation, simplification, and digitisation (SSSD) of finance activity (reporting, forecasting and analytics services and processes) related to investment management with the support of the Finance job family
- Collaborate across Expense Services and Processes team to ensure standard expense management services and processes are meeting Consumer Finance needs and set Finance service levels.
