CNC Programmer/Machine Setter
We're looking for an experienced CNC Programmer to join our client in Carole Park. In this role, you'll be a key part of the production process, responsible for programming and operating CNC machines to create products that meet precise specifications.
What You'll Do:

Program CNC machines for tasks like drilling, grinding, and milling, based on project requirements.

Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings to understand what's needed.

Convert design instructions into commands the machines can understand.

Work with sales, engineering, or customers to resolve any discrepancies in project drawings.

Set up machines to complete full cycles and produce large quantities of parts.

Monitor the machines and make adjustments as necessary to improve the final result.

Perform regular maintenance and troubleshoot basic issues with the machines.

Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.

Keep machinery in good working condition by checking it daily.

Follow safety and environmental protocols at all times.

Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
What You Need:

Previous experience as a CNC operator, preferably in wood or metal manufacturing.

Strong skills in operating CNC machinery and using precision measurement tools.

Ability to read mechanical drawings and blueprints.

Knowledge of computer programming, CAD/CAM, and CNC operations.

A solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.

Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

Relevant qualifications (e.g., certificate or diploma in engineering or similar).
