Description:
Recruitment 24/7 is working with a well-established company based in Archerfield, specialising in the distribution of Asian food products to major retailers across Australia and New Zealand. They are currently looking for a fit and motivated delivery driver to join a fast-paced team.
This role involves driving heavy vehicles (HR/MR license required) and delivering goods to various customer locations. You will be responsible for collecting and delivering goods, recording travel and vehicle maintenance information in logs, and operating equipment such as winches or hoists to load and unload the truck. There will also be manual lifting of items weighing around 25kg each, so physical fitness is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify stock to be delivered before leaving the warehouse.
- Drive heavy vehicles to fulfill the organisation's commitments and service agreements with customers.
- Deliver goods to retail, food service, and wholesale customers.
- Load and unload goods using forklifts and manual handling.
- Estimate weights to comply with load limitations and ensure proper weight distribution within the vehicle.
- Obtain proof of delivery for items, adhering to company procedures.
- Maintain logbooks documenting vehicle movements.
- Report and manage vehicle maintenance needs.
- May collect payments from customers and return them daily to authorised personnel in line with company policies.
- Complete all necessary documentation as required by the job.
- Always comply with traffic laws and regulations, avoiding traffic offenses.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Australian Driver's License - HR/MR (Required)
- Forklift License (Preferred) - for operating in both large areas and confined spaces.
Work Eligibility:
- Must be authorised to work permanently in Australia with no restrictions on hours (e.g., citizen, permanent resident).
