Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring ProServe Cloud Architect (PCA) in our Customer Segment Professional Services group.

The ProServe Cloud Architect is a key member of the strategic account team, responsible for driving technical sales engagements, shaping solution architecture, and influencing revenue generation throughout the sales cycle. As subject matter experts, PCAs provide industry-specific expertise to support customers' cloud transformation journeys by defining cloud operating models, driving strategic enterprise transformation, and establishing cloud centers of excellence. This role combines deep technical expertise with a consultative approach, working closely with sales teams to design and present ProServe solutions and offerings that meet customer needs, accelerate deal closure, and drive customer lifetime value. The pre-sales PCA role is accountable for influenced revenue through bookings, solution alignment, and ensuring successful hand-off to delivery teams for both business and technical outcomes.

To achieve the desired outcomes for this role, the ProServe Cloud Architects (PCA) work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements and business objectives, and how those objectives can be met through their cloud journey. PCAs are responsible for solutioning during the pre-sales motion, providing demonstrations, initial scoping and designing, and managing AWS solutions, providing technical guidance and best practices, ensuring adoption and smooth hand-off to delivery teams. PCAs have a deep understanding of AWS products and services, including but not limited to compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies. PCAs are skilled in consultative sales and architecting complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer. PCAs work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, and propose effective migration strategies to AWS.

They are responsible for leading the solution design to address customer business outcomes (CBO). They act as the conduit between ProServe Account Executives and ProServe Delivery Teams to ensure proposed solutions are realistic, achievable, and optimize ProServe and/or our partners to maximize CBOs. PCAs are often trusted advisors to our customers, providing guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions to address customer challenges. PCAs share knowledge within the organization, through mentoring, training, creation of reusable artifacts and process improvements.

Clearance:
This position requires that the candidate selected will be an Australian Citizen that either holds or will be eligible to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 2 (AGSVA) security clearance.

Key job responsibilities
As an experienced technology professional, you will be responsible for:
- Designing complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions to deliver customer business outcomes (CBOs)
- Providing technical guidance and best practices during pre-sales and implementation phases
- Collaborating with Account Managers and Shared Delivery Teams to ensure proposed solutions are realistic and achievable
- Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies
- Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts

Requirements:

- Experience in cloud architecture, including designing and implementing cloud solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience in consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience
- Experience in external or internal customer facing, complex and large scale project management
- Broad-based understanding of cloud platform services, cloud-native architectures, and cloud infrastructure- Experience as technical specialist in design and architecture
- Visible thought leadership in digital transformation and innovation domains
- Experience with design of modern, scalable delivery models for technology consulting services
- Business development experience including complex agreements w/ integrators and ISVs
