- Develop and maintain operational risk & compliance frameworks aligned with Australian regulations and best practices.
- Establish KRIs and metrics to monitor and mitigate operational risks effectively.
- Lead GS007 assurance process, liaising with auditors and addressing findings to ensure compliance.
- Identify, assess, and monitor operational risks across Transfer Agency processes, conducting risk reviews and ensuring RCSA documentation.
- Proactively identify emerging risks, escalate high-impact issues, and contribute to strategic risk mitigation planning.
- Implement risk management protocols to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across projects, processes, and systems.
- Lead control assurance programmes to test key controls and address deficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to foster a risk-aware culture.
- Report on operational risk profiles, KRIs, and mitigation activities to senior management.
- Develop and maintain the Business Continuity Plan, ensuring continuity measures are in place for critical functions.
- Lead BCP testing exercises and ensure compliance with disaster recovery standards.
- Collaborate with IT and operational teams to ensure data security and system availability under the BCP.
- Proven leadership in shaping team culture and driving high performance.
- Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with effective influencing and negotiation abilities.
- Deep knowledge of industry regulations, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Strong analytical skills for assessing and mitigating risks.
- Experience managing GS007 audits and operational risk frameworks.
- Expertise in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and CPS230 requirements.
- Knowledge of Australian regulatory requirements (APRA, ASIC).
- Skilled in designing and implementing Line 1 risk control frameworks.
- Proven ability to draft high-quality papers for Boards and Committees.
- 10+ years of experience in operational risk management within financial services.
- Experience leading operational risk transformation and embedding risk culture.
