Take on this contract role in the Property team and develop your knowledge in Council property management.Full time | Wonthaggi | Flexible and hybrid working$93,446 per annum plus SuperannuationABOUT THE ROLE:An exciting opportunity has arisen within our property team due to internal staff movement. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to take on the role of Property Officer for a 12-month period.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the acquisition, disposal, leasing, and licensing of Council properties.Administer Council's statutory property responsibilities, including road closures, easements, encroachments, and caveats.Work closely with the Coordinator of Property to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team and gain valuable experience in property management within the public sector.

ABOUT YOU:This role is ideal for a self-motivated, collaborative team player who can think strategically and work effectively with others.
You will bring previous experience in property management, with a strong understanding of the relevant legislation and policies that govern property transactions. Your experience will include working across acquisition, disposal, leasing, and licensing.
You will have the ability to meet deadlines, demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be confident in engaging with a variety of stakeholders, including staff members, Councillors, and community members, to deliver the best outcomes for both Council and the community.
