Your role
Responsibilities
- Performing routine maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of laboratory diagnostic instruments and automation systems.
- Assisting with the deployment and integration of new equipment in laboratory settings.
- Responding to technical issues and ensuring prompt resolution to minimize downtime.
- Maintaining accurate service records, including inventory, service orders, and reports.
- Adhering to Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) policies and compliance regulations.
- Providing technical support and training to customers and stakeholders.
- Contributing to process improvements and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Participating in training programs, including self-learning and hands-on experience.
- Supporting on-call duties as part of a rostered system to provide 24/7 customer support.
- Traveling as required for customer support and national training events.
About you
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A valid driver’s license and permanent work rights in Australia.
- Proficiency in MS Windows environments, with knowledge of LIS systems, Middleware Solutions, Linux, CAN-BUS, and interfacing principles being advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world challenges.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and demonstrate strong self-organization.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with customers and colleagues.
- A commitment to high service quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
