The City of Launceston, an award winning Employer of Choice, is currently seeking to fill the following position:

Position Title: Accountant Financial Systems

Position Number: POS0014

This temporary, full-time role covers a period of parental leave until January 2026. Join our team at the City of Launceston, where you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our financial management systems. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the efficient operation of Council's financial systems while supporting the growth of financial literacy across the organisation.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who demonstrates, through behaviour, an alignment and an understanding of our values and has the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• Strong understanding of financial systems in relation to integration, balancing, access control, reporting and end to end processing issues;
• Strong ability to analyse financial and process issues and find solutions to problems;
• Work collaboratively within own team and across Networks;
• Relevant tertiary qualification; and
• At least five years accounting experience, with system administration experience desirable.
