Darling Downs South West Regional Office is seeking an experienced Wellbeing Consultant to lead the implementation of key staff wellbeing initiatives within their Region.This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.
About The Role
As the Regional Wellbeing Consultant you will:
- Lead the implementation of key staff wellbeing initiatives in your region
- Build staff wellbeing capability within your region and provide through consultancy services, training, presentations and workshops with schools and regional teams.
Your Role
You will have responsibility for the following:
- Progress staff wellbeing through the region by consulting with key regional staff and providing expert advice to school based and regional staff in relation to staff wellbeing.
- Lead the regional coordination, promotion and implementation of health and wellbeing initiatives such as those within the department's Health, Safety and Wellbeing Strategy, including strategies and action plans supporting staff wellbeing.
- Liaise and collaborate with schools and regional teams to provide expert advice on staff wellbeing planning, initiatives and supporting resources.
- Provide regular reports to your Regional Office and Corporate Staff Wellbeing on regional and school progress with respect to addressing and supporting the wellbeing of staff.
- Deliver engaging wellbeing presentations, workshops and training on staff wellbeing as required at conferences and forums to assist in developing staff capability. This includes the delivery of training such as Psychological First Aid.
- Establish networks, collaborate and liaise with key stakeholders across the department and from other agencies and organisations to successfully implement health and wellbeing initiatives throughout the region.
- Represent the department in a variety of forums on issues relating to departmental health and wellbeing activities and initiatives.
- Key duties of this role include supporting the implementation of the department's Staff Health, Safety and Wellbeing Strategy, including strategies and action plans contributing to the improvements in staff wellbeing in the region
- The role will have a focus on psychological safety, mental health and wellbeing, so relevant qualifications and previous experience working in psychological health will be well regarded.
- We are seeking a suitable and experienced staff wellbeing professional who can demonstrate:
- experience in workplace consulting or similar
- exceptional communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- experience working with school based, regional, corporate or similar clients in promoting health and wellbeing, particularly mental health and wellbeing
- experience in development and delivering engaging staff wellbeing presentations and workshops
- networking skills to promote and monitor contemporary health and wellbeing initiatives.
