Our client is seeking an Accountant, r esponsible for tax compliance through tasks like Business Activity Statement preparation and Fringe Benefit Tax management as well as managing financial transactions and assisting in process improvements to maintain compliance and accuracy within the company's finance operations. Additionally, the role includes handling various administrative tasks as required. This opportunity is ideal for professionals wanting to expand their careers in financial management, offering a collaborative work environment dedicated to excellence This position is based in Sydney and is a full-time maternity leave contract from May 2025 to Jan 2027.
Description
What you will Do?
- Prepare and distribute comprehensive monthly and quarterly financial reports
- Handle Business Activity Statement (BAS) preparation and management adhering to the Australian Tax Office regulations
- Manage Fringe Benefit Tax(FBT) allocation and annual return submission for company compliance
- Conduct and verify mutual account reconciliations, settlement adjustments, and bank reconciliations
- Assist with audit processes providing accurate data and supporting internal and external audit requests
Profile
Your Skills:
- Experience in GST and FBT will be highly regarded
- CPA holder or Chartered Accountants (CA) holder or expected to be obtained.
- Proficiency in SAP will be highly regarded
- Attention to details
- Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks at same time
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work within a team and flexibility to take on various duties
- Japanese language skill will be a plus
