Adecco is recruiting for a reliable and self-motivated Grounds Maintenance Technician to join a leading facilities management provider supporting multiple early learning sites across Brisbane. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, values independence, and takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and attractive spaces for the community.
Working across key locations including Indooroopilly, Jindalee, Clayfield, and Red Hill, you’ll play an essential role in delivering high-quality gardening and grounds services at early learning centres.

Our client is a nationally recognised facilities management organisation known for delivering integrated, sustainable, and customer-focused services. In this role, you’ll be part of a dedicated team supporting one of their key national partnerships within the early learning sector—ensuring environments are consistently well-presented, safe, and welcoming.
Responsibilities
Your day-to-day work will involve visiting multiple sites and managing a wide range of outdoor maintenance tasks. These include:
- Mowing, edging, blowing, hedge trimming, pruning, and weed control
- Garden upgrades, including planting, mulch/top-up, and sandpit maintenance
- Maintenance of artificial turf and pressure washing of external areas
- Removal and proper disposal of garden waste
- Using a smartphone or tablet to record updates and manage schedules
- Identifying and resolving grounds-related maintenance needs proactively
Your Profile
This is a field-based role suited to someone who enjoys physical work and thrives on working independently. You’ll ideally have:
- Full working rights (Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen)
- Previous experience in landscaping, gardening, or grounds maintenance
- A valid driver’s licence and experience towing a trailer – essential
- Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check (Employee Category) – essential
- The ability to work without direct supervision and make on-the-spot decisions
- Confidence using technology (e.g., smartphone apps) to manage job tasks and reporting
A pre-employment medical will be required as part of the recruitment process.
