Scope Healthcare is an Australian public company and a leading provider of Specialist Medical Diagnostic and Consulting Services. As we continue to expand, we're looking for a talented and experienced HR Generalist to support our business growth and help shape a high-performing, values-driven culture.

This full-time, on-site role is based at our Head Office in Wheelers Hill, Melbourne, with flexibility to work from a Scope clinic if office space is available. (Please note: This is not a hybrid or WFH position.)

About The Role

This is a pivotal standalone HR position where you'll work closely with Directors and Senior Managers to deliver expert advice and hands-on support across the entire employee lifecycle. From recruitment and onboarding to compliance, culture, and performance management — your work will be vital in fostering a productive, safe, and people-focused workplace.

Key Responsibilities

HR Strategy & Support

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals
  • Advise Directors and department managers on employee relations and compliance

Employee Relations

  • Provide coaching and guidance on performance, professional development, and workplace issues
  • Lead investigations and manage HR complaints or grievances
  • Champion a positive, inclusive workplace culture

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment: job ads, screening, interviews, contracts, and onboarding
  • Create and update position descriptions in collaboration with managers
  • Implement onboarding programs to set new hires up for success

Talent Development & Performance

  • Identify training needs and coordinate relevant programs
  • Support performance appraisals and implement improvement plans where necessary
  • Support succession planning and leadership development
  • Monitor compliance with training, qualifications, and certifications

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to WHS and national safety standards
  • Develop, update, and maintain HR policies to meet NES and award compliance
  • Maintain accurate electronic records via Employment Hero HR software

HR Operations

  • Oversee payroll and timesheets in collaboration with department heads and the finance team
  • Contribute to workforce planning and future growth strategies

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Encourage teamwork, support change initiatives, and promote a culture aligned with company values


Requirements

About You

  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in a generalist or HR manager role, ideally in healthcare or a similar regulated environment
  • Skills: Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, leadership capabilities, and exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline are highly desirable
  • Tech: Experience with Employment Hero or similar HRIS is beneficial
